AAP Developmental Screening Algorithm
The American Academy of Pediatrics has published an algorithm that helps guide providers through the developmental screening and referral process.
"The early identification of developmental problems," the authors state, "should lead to further developmental and medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, including early developmental intervention."

These suggestions are based on guidelines from the EDOPC and the Assuring Better Child Health and Development (ABCD) projects, as well as from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Excepting the 9 month visit, this regimen suggests you typically administer one screen per well-child visit.
