EDOPC Goals
The EDOPC project has two main goals:
- To improve the delivery and financing of preventive health and developmental services for children birth to three
- To build on existing programs to develop a range of strategies for primary care settings
We work to accomplish these goals by offering:
- Educational programs, including web-based courses, office-based presentations, and teleconferences for primary care providers, allied health care professionals, and their office staff
- Ongoing technical assistance for practices via teleconference and in-person consultation
- Access to resources via the EDOPC website on child development and mental health issues, including resources on screening, referral, and coding/billing best practices
- Opportunities to convene and collaborate with stakeholder such as Early Intervention, Medicaid, community-level services, insurers, and others to strategize for policy and systems change/enhancement in order to better support developmentally-oriented primary care for children
